Saddleback Lighting, Inc. opened in St. George, Utah in January of 2008. Owner Susan Guernsey and her husband Gary have been in the lighting business in Southern California and Texas since 1972. We are a woman-owned small business, so if you are pursuing a government contract with set-asides, please consider us for your lighting needs.
Gary is the most prominent public face of Saddleback Lighting. He calls on dozens of customers and prospects each week, and when any of us encounter a tough question, he is the one who’s most likely able to answer it, or to find out for us. Gary loves to help design lighting for retail spaces, hotels, and restaurants and has worked with many architects over the years to ensure optimal lighting and energy efficiency in new and remodeled buildings. In addition to Washington County, he also travels regularly to Mesquite, Springdale, and Northern Utah to serve our customers there.
Miriam’s primary day-to-day responsibility is managing our finances. She has over 35 years of experience in at a local electrical wholesaler and handles all the accounting, credit card payments, receivables and payables. She also handles our purchasing.
Carol is our sales and marketing manager. She started with Saddleback Lighting in 2008 as an independent sales representative. As the company grew, we needed an inside salesperson so she joined our staff in May of 2010. She is also handling our marketing efforts including this website and our Hot Buys email program.
If you call the office, it’ll probably be either Miriam or Carol who will answer your call and both are qualified to take your orders and help you figure out what you need.
Harv is our warehouse and shipping manager. In addition to keeping our three warehouses in proper order, Harv handles our ever-increasing inbound freight, plus local deliveries and all of our UPS and truck shipping.
Artie is our sales representative who serves many of our outlying southern areas from Cedar City to Moab and Page and had recently added customers as far north as Salt Lake City and Montana. He has been an entrepreneur for more than 30 years and is well known for his excellent and attentive customer service. He drives hundreds of miles each week in rural areas, so doesn’t always have cell service, but his customers are welcome to call the office with questions or to place an order.
Bob is our sales representative who primarily handles the greater St. George area. He also owns an industrial chemical sales firm and brings years of customer service experience to his Saddleback Lighting customers. He hails from Chicago where he also played blues music, and moved here a couple of years ago to enjoy our wonderful weather and active music scene.
Clyde is our sales representative for the Prescott, Arizona area. He travels there frequently with his other business, Reading Rocker, which makes gorgeous handmade hardwood rocking chairs.
